Common FAQs
What do I do if I can’t find a patch, a patch is sold out, or I’m looking for an older patch?
Email us at patches@cifsds.org with your inquiry and we’ll help you out! Note that special request patches may take 4-6 weeks to arrive from our manufacturer, but we will notify you once they are in stock.
In addition, please note that we only sell CIF San Diego Section patches at our store. If you’re looking for school specific, league, or Southern Section patches we do not have them.
The patch I want is available, but the insert I want is sold out. What should I do?
Please email us at patches@cifsds.org with the insert you would like and we can adjust our inventory numbers to accommodate your order. Once you let us know what insert you’re looking for, we’ll email you with an updated website link where you’ll be able to purchase your patch and insert.
Why haven’t I received tracking information for my order yet?
Usually, if you haven’t received your tracking number yet that means we haven’t packed the order. If you still haven’t received your tracking number by the estimated ship date, please send us an email at patches@cifsds.org
I ordered the wrong patch. Can I make an exchange?
Yes - In most cases, if the patch you’re looking to make an exchange for is of equal or similar value to the patch you received we can do an exchange. Please email us at patches@cifsds.org and let us know what item you want to exchange and what item you want to receive.
We will mail you the correct patch and a pre addressed envelope for you to mail the exchanged patch back to us. This process will be of no extra cost so long as the values of the exchange are similar.
I received the wrong patch. How do I get the correct patch from my order?
Please email us at patches@cifsds.org with your order number so we can reference your order and help you out.

Do you sell patches in my school’s colors/any alternate colors?
No - we only sell patches in CIF San Diego Section colors (variations of black, white, green, and gold). The colors displayed in the photos of our patches listed on our website are the only colors that specific patches will come in.
Can I come by your office to order in person?
Please email us first at patches@cifsds.org before coming to our office to order patches. This is to ensure that we are in the office at the time you plan to come by. Note that we only take card and most forms of contactless payment (No cash please).
Patch Details & Qualifications Questions
I don't want the insert attached to the patch when you mail it to me - is that possible?
Yes - All patches with insert options come with inserts unattached. Inserts will have a peel and stick backing and will get sewn onto the patch when you bring it in to get sewn onto your Letterman Jacket.
What are the qualifications for the Scholar Athlete patch?
A 3.0 or above GPA during the listed school year.
What are the qualifications for the All CIF patch?
The San Diego Sports Association (formerly the San Diego Hall of Champions) coordinates the selection of All CIF San Diego Section teams along with advisory committees from various sports. Certificates recognizing the All CIF Teams are distributed seasonally at an event coordinated by the San Diego Sports Association. You can find the list of those selected to All CIF on our website at www.cifsds.org under the Awards & Events tab.
What are the qualifications for the All League patches?
The student athlete must have been selected by their respective conference. Those who were selected to All League first or second team qualify for this patch.
What are the qualifications for the All Academic Team patches?
This patch recognizes a student that is a part of a team that has been selected as a CIF-SDS/Mission Fed All Academic Team.
All Academic Team selections can be found on our website at www.cifsds.org under the Awards & Events tab.
How do I know if I qualify for the Player of the Year or Coach of the Year patch?
Player of the Year and Coach of the Year are selected by the respective sports advisory CIFSDS committees. The list of athletes and coaches recognized as Player(s) and Coach(es) of the year can be found at www.cifsds.org or www.sandiegosportsassociation.com .
